This well aged whisky from Thompson Bros has been created by combining a butt and a hogshead cask of 1986 blended Scotch whisky from an unknown distillery. Bottled in 2024 at at 38 years of age, without chill-filtration or any additional colour.
Nose: A complex mix of tropical fruits (papaya, melon), orange gummy candies, honey, and waxy notes like beeswax.
Palate: Light-bodied and waxy with custard creams, citrus zest, gentle woodsmoke, and a hint of mineral "industrial" notes like motor oil.
Finish: Long and gentle, featuring white pepper, drying oak, and lingering fruit skin
