Thiénot "Cuvée Garance" Brut Blanc de Noirs 2010

The Cuvée Garance is crafted primarily from Pinot Noir sourced from the Montagne de Reims, with select Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards contributing to its distinct character.

This offers a very fresh and attractive nose with a white-floral edge and a savory, wet river-stone note. The palate has a super crisp, pink-grapefruit feel with some chalky, fresh bready nuances and a very sleek and dry, elegant finish. Drink or hold. (JS) 94 points James Suckling

Traditionally composed of 100% Pinot Noir from both south and north of Montagne de Reims, the 2010 Garance cuvée includes for the first time Pinot Noir from Les Riceys, in Côte de Bar. With beautiful notes of mirabelle plum, white pepper, and a slight hint of reduction, the bouquet offers sensuality and precision. The palate displays a suave combination of richness and zesty texture, finished with clarity and some minty notes. 2010 is the fifth vintage, after 2002, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Dosage: 6g/l.
