Domaine Taupenot-Merme is a prestigious winery located in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune regions of Burgundy, France. With a history dating back to the 18th century, the estate has been passed down through generations and is currently managed by Romain Taupenot and his sister Virginie Taupenot. The domaine is renowned for its dedication to producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique character of their vineyards.
A more elegant if not more complex nose features notes of cool red currant, spice and a pretty floral wisp. The succulent, round and delicious medium weight flavours possess a refined mouthfeel thanks to the fine-grained tannins supporting the youthfully austere, saline, balanced and nicely persistent finale. Lovely and fashioned in an understated style.
