The Simon Colin wine estate is located in the magnificent Burgundy region, more specifically in the emblematic village of Chassagne-Montrachet. It is renowned for its traditional know-how and commitment to quality. Each bottle from Domaine Simon Colin is the result of meticulous work, from cultivation of the vines to bottling. Simon makes every effort to preserve the purity of flavour and authenticity of each appellation he produces.
The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet La Maltroye 1er Cru has a crisp nose, quite backward, more surly compared to the Les Vergers at the moment, peach skin and waxy aromas emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, a little rounded in texture with lime cordial and Clementine, perhaps just needing a little more mineralité on the finish.
