Salomon Estate Wildflower Syrah Viognier 2020
95% Syrah, co-fermented with 5% Viognier, barrel-aged for 20 months in 300 L hogsheads (primarily French oak, with a small percentage of American oak).
Black cherry with a dense, tight structure and plentiful tannic heft. Peppery and herbal on the palate, but still very compact for its vintage. Seems to have some acetic influence on the nose too.
