A slightly more deeply pitched nose combines notes of spice, red and dark currant, plum and plenty of humus-inflected forest floor character. The sleek and almost painfully intense larger-bodied flavors possess exquisite detail as well as focused power that really builds as the solidly complex and lingering finish sits on the palate. The 2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains unwinds to reveal aromas of dark berries and cherries mingled with notions of baking chocolate, forest floor and spices. Medium to full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it's a powerful, structured wine that's broader-shouldered than the more suave, elegant Cailles and Les Saint-Georges, but which is also exceptionally characterful. 92-94 points William Kelley - Wine Advocate (Feb 01, 2023)

The deepest core in the purple colour and the sturdiest most upright bouquet. This is not about sensuality but there is a youthful majesty that is most appealing, a fresh finish, even a saline touch.
