The 2019 is quite cool and restrained on the nose, subtle red berries, currants with a fine layer of spice and light purple flowers. Sprightly, medium to full weighted palate elegant of texture on a fresh yet muscular frame. Good depth and length now whilst young which will develop nicely with some cellaring should you not be able to hold out.
A cooler and equally reserved nose features shy notes of various red berries that are cut with hints of wild black currant, spice and violet whiffs. There is excellent energy and a relatively sophisticated texture to the medium-bodied flavors that flash a taut muscularity on the dusty, serious and youthfully austere finish that displays terrific depth and persistence.
