Remi Jobard Meursault Sous La Velle 2021
Domaine Rémi Jobard is located in Meursault , in Burgundy . The 8-hectare family estate has been managed by Rémi Jobard since 1991 and has been using certified organic farming since 2011. He cultivates 7 hectares of white grape varieties (93% Chardonnay and 7% Aligoté) and 2 hectares of Pinot Noir. It produces several cuvées, in particular in the Meursault appellation, Meursault Premier Cru as well as in the regional appellation . Beyond organic farming, Rémi Jobard practices as little intervention as possible during winemaking.
The Meursault Sous La Velle comes from the plot of the same name. It is a hillside of gravel and limestone. This Chardonnay is fermented in Stockinger demi-muids (Austrian cooperage) and aging lasts 12 months in the same types of barrels, 25% of which are new.
