Quin Wines Grenache 2021
Fruit was selected in the vineyard and hand-harvested as two separate parcels. At the winery, the first parcel was 100% whole-bunch fermented, with fruit direct tipped into open-top fermenters. The second parcel was 50% whole-bunch and 50% destemmed into the open-top fermenter before direct tipping. After three weeks on skins the two parcels were pressed together before overnight settling and racking to seasoned French oak. The wine was matured for 8 months in oak before blending and bottling in December 2021.
Black peppercorn, raspberries, sage and strawberry liqueur on the nose with a palate showing a balance of savoury and fruit sweetness, stalky tannins provide structure and drive.
