Puerto Del Monte Mencia 2019
Sourced from 45 year old bush grown Mencia vines and aged in French oak casks of medium toast for 8 months. Deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. A mix of black and sour cherries intermingle with tarred earth, liquorice and peppered dried herb notes. Light to medium weight, flavours of sour to black cherries, red liquorice, scorched earth and peppered herbs have a fresh, elegant feel. Slightly chewy tannins and bright acidity with an earthy aftertaste that has a savouriness to it.
