The name Loiben covers the area of the cadastral communities Oberloiben and Unterloiben. It is the designation of origin of this Wachau DAC village Grüner Veltliner. The vineyards for F.X. Pichler Loibner Federspiel are situated on the plains of the Loibner basin, with light, warm soils of alluvial Danube sand and gravel. This is where F.X. Pichler grows this delicate Grüner Veltliner with an elegant structure.
