Paisley Maeve Shiraz 2018
This range of wine is named for Celtic mythological characters of old. Maeve is a fierce goddess associated with Sovereignty and the anointing of Celtic kings. The name Maeve means "she who intoxicates".
This lovely single vineyard Shiraz from the northern end of the Barossa floor has deep crimson/red, the nose has lifted black fruits, olive tapenade and lovely chocolate/mocha oak. The plate is medium to full bodied with intense sweet blackberry, kirsch, nutmeg/cinnamon spice and roasted meats. The mid palate is smooth, voluptuous and creamy with balanced fine grained tannins and vibrant fruit. Finishes with fantastic length of rich fruit, oakspices and nutty oak. This wine drinks beautifully now or cellar for up to ten years.
