The Old Perth Whisky range comes from one of Scotland’s oldest Whisky families; previous owners of Bowmore, Auchentoshan and Glen Garioch; the Morrison Family
Old Perth whisky was a lost blend that was originally created by the fiercely proud Perthshire family, the Thomsons. It was the family’s blender, Peter Thomson who originally produced the ‘Old Perth’ blend. In homage to Peter every box of Old Perth carries his family’s name.
One of Scotland’s oldest whisky families, the Morrisons (formerly of Morrison Bowmore Distillers), purchased the Old Perth brand and brought the legacy back to life for all to enjoy.
Drawn from ex-Oloroso and Pedro Ximinez sherry casks, we have clean and fairly contemporary sherry at play here with some basic, fresh fruit cake character and a light nuttiness and late bitter cocoa intruding in the sweetness of the malt. 48.2% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered
