Littorai Thieriot Chardonnay 2021
B.A. Thieriot Vineyard is located southwest of the town of Occidental, overlooking Bodega at an elevation of 900 feet. This is the cooler side of the hills around Occidental, yet the vineyard is protected from the northwest winds and fog by a ridge to the north. We have a long-term lease on this site and farm it as if it were an estate vineyard. We have farmed it for over a decade using organic materials and biodynamic methods, not certified.
“The 2021 B.A. Thieriot Vineyard Chardonnay prances out with showy notes of spiced apple slices, orange blossoms, and juicy pears, giving way to notes of fresh ginger, allspice, and wet pebbles. The medium-bodied palate is laden with expressive apple and pear flavors, supported by a racy backbone and loads of mineral accents, finishing long and spicy.”
