A vibrant bouquet of red cherries, raspberries, and fresh violets. Subtle hints of spice and earthy notes emerge as the wine breathes, adding depth and complexity to the aromatic profile. Bright red fruit flavours of raspberry and red currant, complemented by a touch of spice and a light herbal undertone. The texture is supple, with soft tannins and a refreshing acidity that adds vibrancy to the wine. A delicate minerality that lingers on the palate. The wine’s balance and elegance make it a pleasure to drink now, while its structure ensures it has the potential to age gracefully over the next few years.
The 2022 Bourgogne Rouge includes 50% stems and has a lovely bouquet of dark cherries and red plums. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with a sapid entry. A regional red with fine body, even if it needs a little more Pinoté on the finish. Neal Martin, Vinous (2023).
