Lauren Langfield Merlot 2023
Deeply hued, and brimming with ripe flavours of mulberries, violets, blackberries and plums. Beautifully fragrant, this gently rounded wine has a soft tannin structure and is filled with juicy red berry fruits. A floral bouquet winds throughout, this is why merlot makes such a great wine!
The destemmed grapes were fermented in an open steel fermenter and handled very gently using daily pump overs and plunging. Transferred to French oak barriques after pressing, the wine was allowed to rest and mature in oak for 9 months
