100% Nero d’Avola. 20 year old vineyard, grown at 550m ASL, 2 months of maceration on the skins, aged in concrete tanks for a year. 1500 bottles produced.
"It’s ferrous and somewhat rustic but has good energy and an uplifting sense of freshness despite that – curious and cool. Suede tannins do a trick, blood orange and amaro notes, maraschino cherry, bold raspberry, green olive, aniseed on show. Succulent through the finish with building grip and fine pucker of that wonderful tannin. An energy here; also it feels really serious for the variety and has a kind of next level experience overall. Really good times."
