Jasper Hill Occams Razor Shiraz 2022
Emily and Nick’s own label, named after 14th century theologian William of Occam’s philosophy of “less is more”, with a stylised “ < less than” symbol on the label, very applicable to our minimal intervention winemaking methodology. Having purchased fruit for eighteen years from a vineyard in the south of Heathcote, the vineyard sadly became unavailable. With grapes now sourced from a different Heathcote vineyard, one in the northern part of the Heathcote GI, this is well balanced and forward drinking. It has great colour and intense nose, exhibiting the savoury, fresh red fruits and vibrant acidity, typical of Heathcote Shiraz.
