Houghton Jack Mann Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
The wine is deep red/purple in colour, with bright garnet hues. The bouquet displays black olive, lively scented red fruits, lavender, wild mint, boysenberry and blackcurrant aromas with a subtle overlay of sweet, nutty cinnamon and toasted vanillin oak. The palate is full-bodied with rich and sumptuous layers resulting in a wine with intensity, power and elegance. The dense, firm, fine grained tannin is beautifully integrated with the fruit and oak. Outstanding structure and balance will ensure great ageing potential and with careful cellaring, this wine will continue to develop in complexity over the next twenty years and beyond.This vintage of Jack Mann is 92% Cabernet Sauvignon blended with 8 % Malbec.
