Giuseppe Mascarello Barbera Scudetto 2020
This single vineyard Barbera from the Perno hamlet of Monforte d'Alba, is such a special bottling. Deeply colored, full-bodied, and with great concentration and structured - not something associated with Barbera. Scudetto means shield and reflects the vineyard's shape. Traditionally macerated for 15-20 days then aged in medium sized oak. Bottled 3 years post vintage. Cellar for 10-15 years.
