This G4 Reposado is a brilliantly balanced tequila that has aged in American oak barrels. It honours every aspect of the agave and displays its captivating and beautiful aroma and flavour. The agaves used are from the highlands of Jalisco and are cooked in brick ovens before being tahona crushed. The mix of rain and natural spring water brings out the authentic minerality of tequila.
G4 stands for Four Generations of world class tequila production. Felipe Camarena is the master mind behind the brand and together with his sons, they honour traditions that started back in 1937. Felipe knows how to age tequila, and this is a prime example of how to enhance a tequila with oak barreling. Take your time with this one.
AROMA: Loads of agave, some minerals, rain, oak, vanilla, citrus
TASTE: This picks right up where the blanco left off but somehow accentuates the good parts even further - cooked agave, pepper, butter, citrus, and oak. It’s got a long beautiful finish with notes of vanilla and a sweet burn at the very end.
BARREL: American oak for at least 6 months
