This expressive dry Riesling from Eva Fricke captures the elegance and clarity of the Rheingau region, offering superb value and purity. The Mélange is a carefully selected blend of organically farmed vineyards across the Rheingau. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, it reflects Eva Fricke’s low-intervention approach and deep respect for terroir.
Fresh lime, green apple, and subtle stone fruit aromas lead to a crisp, mineral-driven palate. Lively acidity and a clean, dry finish make it a perfect food companion or refreshing aperitif.
“The 2022 Riesling Mélange Trocken is a blend of two middle Rheingau sites, Eltviller Kalbspflicht and Hattenheimer Schützenhaus. There is too little of each of them to vinify individually. The nose is still under a cloud of flinty reduction, but the palate is a lemon-framed picture of cool yet ripe stone fruit. This is greengage rather than Mirabelle, beautifully delineated, with zesty backing and concentration. It is the zestiness that lasts. Dry and serene.
