Elderton Barossa Shiraz 2022
This Barossa Shiraz comes from many parcels across Elderton's three vineyard sites. These vineyards ripen differently owing to their different aspects, elevation and soil types. Their Greenock vineyard is on the western end of the Barossa, first to ripen for them and always brings a vibrant bouquet and punchy tannin to our blend. The Nuriootpa plantings bring a depth of tannin and a lovely sweet spiced fruit element and the Craneford vineyard is a more elevated site on leaner soils ripening later in the season.
Lifted with vibrant red berry fruits, this wine shows the vibrancy of Elderton's Greenock vineyard with a depth of silky tannins typical of their Nuriootpa vineyard and a freshness and spice from the higher elevation Craneford vineyard.
