Meaty and yet loaded with red and black cherry juice, lots of spice, some earthiness and truffle-like savouriness, faint woody spices, flinty minerality and a wash of stony, smoky reduction over it all. It's a strict and structured calling of gamay, tannins are fine, acidity perky and present, but the mainframe is lean, racy fruit character with lots of savouriness in tow.
