New venture for Michel Chevre, an organic vigneron guru who cut his teeth with Thierry Germain at famed Roche Neuve and Nady Foucault, a driving force behind the celebrated almost mystical Clos Rougeard. Sourced from an average age of 35yo vines centred around the lieu dit 'Plateau Bas 36 Rangs du Bas' in Saumur Champigny. Powerfully energetic Cabernet Franc full of aromatic purity, ashy tobacco leaf and lovely brooding dark fruit - contrasted by sensous structural tannins. Serious value and certainly a Domaine to keep your eye on.
