Glowing purple, racy, fresh, more redcurrant fruit, light and tight. Medium concentrated, quite straight laced at first, but even so the hedonistic elements cannot quite lay down and this develops an additional long tense linear finish. Drink from 2025-2030. 90 - 92 points Jasper Morris

From Les Chalandins, Quartiers de Nuits, Les Violettes and Basses Maizières An overtly spicy nose mixes aromas of red and dark currant, exotic tea, anise and a pretty violet top note. Here too there is fine mid-palate volume to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that possess very good density while delivering excellent length on the balanced finale. This could use better depth, but a few years of bottle aging should prove beneficial. Outstanding, Top Value 89 - 92 points Burghound

The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Village has a bit more gumption on the nose compared to the Gevrey-Chambertin with lifted red berry fruit and touches of black tea. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, fine-boned with a citrus-freshness, hints of marmalade towards the finish. Fine. (NM) Vinous
