A very pretty mid-purple with some elegance to the nose. Very floral in fact but with some latent intensity. This is a first-class wine, whatever the vintage, with a measured tread yet wanting to dance. Enjoy the very fine long aftertaste. Review Date: 11/2022 94-97 points Jasper Morris

The 2021 Echézeaux Grand Cru, which comes from lieux-dits, has a clean and precise bouquet, gradually unfolding with quite pure black cherry and crushed strawberry fruit, plenty of crushed violet here. The palate is medium-bodied with a creamy opening. Some new oak needs to be subsumed, but there is fine weight and density, a nice countervailing bitterness that adds contrast to the creaminess on the finish. It deserves 4-5 years in bottle. A broad range of spice elements adds breadth to the various red berry fruit, exotic tea and sandalwood-scented nose. The delicious, intense and beautifully delineated medium-bodied flavors possess equally good power and fine-grained tannins on the balanced and impressively long finish.
