Green peppercorn sits above vibrant blackberry to start, before black tea, graphite, mocha, tilled earth, pan juices and gentle menthol emerge with air. Lovely depth, restraint, and complexity to draw you into the glass. A medium bodied palate, with a cooling mineral feel to lift and cut the rich dark fruit and spice-led profile – blackberry, black pepper, black tea, earth. Drying mocha-laced tannins assert themselves on a burst of fruit before the acid kicks and buoys the fruit notes through the palate. The light and shade balance here is excellent.
