Daosa Blanc De Blanc 2020
This is the tenth vintage of our Blanc de Blancs from our home Chardonnay vineyard in Summertown on the higher slopes of the Piccadilly Valley. This wine is made following the principles of our Method ClassicTM. It is a pure expression of sparkling Piccadilly Valley Chardonnay with ripe stone fruit characters, fine bead, texture and a long finish. DAOSA Blanc de Blancs is recognised as one of the top Australian sparkling wines.
It opens with aromas of white-fleshed nectarines, grapefruit, delicate drops of lemon, green apple, green olives and white strawberries. Precise and seductive, these flow seamlessly to the flavour profile with fine lines of creaminess, almonds, almond meal and flashes of cashews. An attractive fine bead persists and a pastry-like texture lingers leaving a lemony tang in its wake.
