Craggy Range Gimblett Gravels Syrah 2020
The vines originate from a Heritage clone of Syrah brought to New Zealand around 150 years ago. Produced from the gravelly soils of the Gimblett Gravels, this distinct Syrah shows an aromatic lift of floral and pepper aromatics with lushness and elegance on the palate.
Brilliant bright red with a purple hue. Crushed raspberry and cherries with a flicker of white pepper and baking spices extend from the glass. A fleshy palate, with notes of juicy red plum and dried florals offers so much succulence that invites that second glass.
