Dense, dark and muscular, featuring waves of warmed fig, plum and black currant paste that roll in with warm ganache, baker's chocolate and espresso accents. Tasted blind. Mid garnet and the colour is not that intense. Light impression on the nose – surprisingly so! Then very luscious on the palate with a slightly inky, Cab Franc-ish ingredient. Well mannered, even rather diffident. Good presence in the mouth. Still some tannin and good length. Glossy. 17.5 Jancis Robinson
