Champagne Vincent Couche Chloe Brut Nature Millesime 2015
60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. Lots of focus on the front end, with apples and stone fruit that are all very fresh with limey acidity. The flow is velvety smooth, with a sea of small bubbles. Aftertaste is chalky and succulent, with a trace of cinnamon dust and licorice. There's not much else to say; it's a sheer thrill. The 'normal' from Vincent Couche: biodynamic fruit, little intervention, no added sugar, ambient yeast, no sulphur, and absolute delectability.
Powerfull and vinous champagne from a warm vintage, this is a very special bottle with a complex and deep sense of place and personality. Expect notes of red apple, blackcurrant and red fruits, generous texture and a driven, long mineral finish.
