Giacosa’s Dolcetto d’Alba ‘Casa Vinicola’ is one of the longest serving wines in the Giacosa stable and remains true to its origins as the region’s most approachable and useable of the red grape varieties. One of the only red wines from Giacosa that doesn’t ferment or age in large oak cask, the CV Dolcetto d’Alba is a racy and refreshing red wine of real pedigree, offering a glance at Giacosa’s ability to produce red wines of real elegance.
Savoury, vibrant, dark, with an excellent core of fruit thirst-quenching and delicious. Straight out the gate it offers pleasure. I’ve seen aged bottles of this. It’s clear it will offer much more with a few years in bottle.
