Ardnamurchan "The Midgie" is a playful, limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky series named after the Highland midge—Scotland’s infamous biting insect—and was originally launched as a collaboration with the insect repellent brand Smidge.
A blend of 75% unpeated and 25% peated spirit, matured in 50% ex-bourbon barrels, 48% Port barriques, and 2% Sherry casks.
Nose: Gammon ham with torched pineapple, salted prunes, and strawberry jam.
Palate: Salt-baked pear, wildflowers, lemon thyme, and cocoa powder.
Finish: A gentle puff of smoke with Himalayan pink salt and red currant cordial.
700ml / 48% abv
