Western Highlands, an even split between peated and un-peated malt, 65% Bourbon and 35% Sherry cask finish.
This is about as complex and satisfying as a young malt can be. On the nose we're getting coastal salinity, black pepper and charred blood orange.
Low-key, creeping peat leads to a surprisingly textural melange of dark chocolate, olive brine, white peach and campfire smoke. Definitely one to watch.
