Each year a local farmer is commissioned to grow barley  to continue producing this ‘grain to glass’ limited edition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDifferent farms, barley varieties, cask maturations and length of time the whisky spends in the casks from one batch to the next allow our customers a unique tasting experience every time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNose: Notes of fig rolls, date syrup, plums and star\u003cbr\u003eanise kick off this year’s Local Barley.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePalate: A savoury element becomes more pronounced on the palate, with notes of burdock, shiitake mushrooms, tamari soy sauce and liquorice.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFinish: Notes of campfire ash and treacle molasses come to the forefront in the finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eProper oily texture. Hints of orange marmalade, white pepper and wet pebbles, but also coastal and\/or saline notes. A touch of olive brine alongside gentle earthy peat and smoked tropical fruits such as guave. There’s not much to dislike here, if anything.
