Single vineyard Grenache, fruit sourced from ‘The Marmont Vineyard’ Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale grown by the Cross family.
Marmont Vineyard, planted 1960, using an old 2600L vat purchased from Tyrrells.
Dark raspberry, blue fruits, aniseed, plenty of sweet exotic spice, a dusting of cocoa, rosehip. It’s concentrated, rippling with shale-like tannin, juicy raspberry, cranberry crunch to acidity, and a long fresh finish, with plenty of tannin cleaning things up.
