Gentle Folk Piccadilly Chardonnay 2023
Old vine Chardonnay from the heart of Piccadilly, where the wines are renowned for their power and flair. No doubt about it with this wine, it s all lemon citrus, melons, ripe fruit and impressive acid, a complete package and the reason this part of the Hills is often referred to as the Grand Cru section.
Gentle Folk Chardonnay is a refined expression of the Adelaide Hills terroir, blending aspects and clones from Charleston, Piccadilly, and Lenswood vineyards. With vine ages ranging from 22 to 38 years and elevations of 400-500m, this wine achieves a delicate balance of acidity and ripe fruit. Vinified with precision, it undergoes 100% whole cluster pressing and settles in tank overnight before aging for nine months in a mix of French and Austrian oak, 15% new.
