From the outstanding 2013 vintage - an absolute classic for Chardonnay cuvees. Sourced from the Clos des Maladries - and incredibly small 0.16 hectare vineyard in Avize. Naturally vinified in a mix of stainless and 30% in Fut de Chene (oak foudre) with partial malolactic prior to 48 months on lees. Disgorged in November 2017 with 2 g/L dosage.
Incredibly powerful aromatics of chalk, salt, brioche and a lovely truffle note. This is razor sharp - the small portion of malolactic fermentation as well as its tirage time adds depth and richness to an absolutely chiseled palate -showcasing the absolute classic Avize line and drive. Fantastic cuvee!
