100% Semillon - Magnolia Vineyard, Vine Vale, Barossa Valley.
Dry farmed, organically farmed, single block of 1941 planted vines. Soil: Deep alluvial granitic sands. Elevation: 320m. 12.6% Alc.
Hand picked, pressed to tank prior to naturally settling then racked to larger, older wood for fermentation then ageing for 16 months. Bottled unfined, unfiltered.
A beautiful interpretation of Old Vine Barossan Semillon - saline and mineral, with lanolin and a beautifully pitched clear honey aromatic, the texture here is well built, but pure and not forced or from oak, this is just beautifully derived with lovely extract and drive. A modern expression of what could be from the Barossa!
